Well another tropical storm has passed over the top of us and we have made it unscathed. Thank goodness!
Rodney Bay, St. Lucia is an excellent little hurricane hole and Emily only brought rain and strong winds. We moved inside the lagoon Monday morning whenever NOAA named the storm and she began making swells in the harbor.
Rodney Bay is such a great little hurricane hole that after hearing reports from friends further down island about fuel prices and other islands we may stay here.
It doesn’t sound like things are any cheaper down island and we don’t want to skip the many islands in between here and Grenada.
We have not made a decision yet, it will depend on weather or not we can get some work done on the boat. We are looking into getting a genset and need to see if we can have one shipped in. This is a great island if they will ship one in because it is duty free. Something that will make a big difference in the price.
Again we haven’t made a final decision, but it is definitely an option.
