Well There Goes MY Summer!

To those that don't know of the news yet - Ryan has Officially joined the retirement world. Unfortunately Ryan is new to this wonderful world and has brought with him some really nasty habits. Ryan thinks that now that he is here all the time that everyone needs to get up early and that work needs to be done. I have yet to convince him that this is NOT how things are done. So because of these horrible work ethics and my inability to break him of them, we have accomplished some things on the boat. Of course every one of them was only going to take about an hour and ended up being several trips to the hardware store and an all week ordeal, even with all the slave driving tactics.

But we have finally removed all of the old refrigeration parts that didn't work, painted the inside, and installed a new space efficient system, finally COLD BEER! (It is everything that I thought it would be.)

As a side note: going from a dorm fridge to one that is big enough for me to get into is a wonderful thing that I didn't even know that I missed until I had it.

Ryan installed his precious horns, sorry Tyson apparently you will not be inheriting them for awhile. (I know I am sad too.)

And of course the infamous wall paper peeling has resumed...BOOO!

However Ryan has let a little of the fun sink in after the work gets done and we have taken Jenny on a few 'sunset cruises'.

We are learning our way around and learning about things that perhaps would be better left unknown.

We actually have seen one of them and according to the rumors he is 12' long!

We also took Sandy Dreams to the TurtleClub for lunch one day. It was a little scary at first but turned out to be a good trip for us as well as for the boat. Plus I got a Bushwacker - always a good deal for me!

That's about all that I have for now.

Sorry we didn’t get to hear the horn’s…well, actually NOT, after hearing Tyson talk about them. What hearing these old ears have left is not to be risked.

Sounds and looks like progress is plodding along. Greg and I smile when we hear the tales as we have sooo been there and done that…sympathy is at an all time understatement. Nonetheless, the goal is worth the trials and work so keep slogging along…
